Our Mission

St. Patrick Center provides opportunities for self-sufficiency and dignity to persons who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. Individuals achieve permanent, positive changes in their lives through affordable housing, sound mental health, employment and financial stability.

Our Work

St. Patrick Center is the largest provider of homeless services in Missouri with 21 programs, serving more than 9,000 persons annually who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. St. Patrick Center helps individuals and families move from homelessness to independence in a measurable, cost-effective manner.

Since 1983, St. Patrick Center has helped lead more than 114,000 homeless and impoverished to lives of self-sufficiency and dignity. With 22 programs and 13 partners in our Partnership Center, we are a national model for best practices and have been recognized for our innovation and successful outcomes.

In Fiscal Year 2007, led by our new Five-Year Strategic Plan, we focused our efforts on housing, knowing that it is the first and most important component to a homeless individual's stability. We secured funding to provide more clients with the permanent, supportive housing they need to get on the road to recovery and financial security. This is an exciting time for St. Patrick Center! In Fiscal Year 2008, we are expanding and developing aggressive new programs aimed at ending homelessness. We are building more than nine million dollars in new space, including 26 new apartments, a new trades training center, a small business incubator and a 256-seat auditorium.

We are grateful for the thousands of donors and volunteers who make our mission possible. It is because of you that we are able to witness truly life-changing moments in the lives of the homeless and impoverished. Together with the City and County of St. Louis, we will all end chronic homelessness in 2015!

Our Spirituality
