The focus of Catholic Charities Midtown Center is to assist individuals, families and groups in their struggle to survive economic, social, health and emotional crises and to support growth toward self-sufficiency; to integrate social, health, youth and group programs to provide holistic services; to support neighbors through home visits, while breaking down barriers created by poverty, isolation, fear and prejudice; and to promote the dignity of each person in the community.

Midtown serves families who have incomes under the federal poverty guidelines ($22,600 for a family of four) and who live in one of eight St. Louis city neighborhoods—Compton Heights, Forest Park Southeast, Fox Park, The Gate District, McRee Town, Shaw, Southwest Garden and Tiffany
