Catholic Charities USA publishes a daily Lenten Reflection based on the daily Mass readings.

Lent 4.5 inspires and informs us on how to use the traditional Lenten disciplines of prayer, fasting and almsgiving to protect God’s creation, embrace Gospel justice and nurture spiritual fulfillment. It offers practical opportunities for people of faith to apply the values of Christian Simplicity to their everyday lives.

Catholic Relief Services (CRS) has a printable 2012 Lenten Calendar.  Each week focuses on a different country of the world as well as a different principle of Catholic Social Teaching.  Additional Lenten materials from CRS include recipes of simple, meatless meals from different countries, a Lenten placemat, a weekly reflection, stations of the cross, and activities you can do as a family.

The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) has created an Examination of Conscie based on the Seven Principles of Catholic Social Teaching

This material is also available as a printer friendly pdf.

Busted Halo has a daily Fast-Pray-Give calendar as well as a peppy “Ash Wednesday in 2 Minutes” video.
