The focus of the Father Tolton Center is to stabilize and empower families and individuals to maintain healthy lifestyles by providing educational opportunities, access to health care, referrals, and advocacy for those in need. We believe in the dignity and equality of all people, and we believe they deserve to be treated with the utmost respect.

Services Provided:

-Stay at Home Program provides in-home Parents as Teachers training-including home visits with educational, health, and life skills topics, as well as direct aid and advocacy services.

-Lead outreach.

-Direct Aid Program includes access to, but is not limited to, bus tickets, direct aid funds for utilities, rent/mortgage assistance, as well as other health supplies or needs for clients who fit determining criteria and who are in need of such assistance.

*Effective April 1, 2007, Fr. Tolton Center will take over present senior services offered by Badenfest Community Center. This will include on-site, congregate meals in the cafeteria, Meals on Wheels deliveries to the 63147 area only, and ongoing senior activities both daily and monthly. Transportation will be available to and from the center for meals and activities, as well as trips/outings. Home visits are also included, for health concerns and overall social well-being.

Outreach:

-Outreach services are provided for senior clients as well as direct aid clients--when specific funding is available. Also included is youth programming: Summer Academy and continuing with the after school programming which runs Monday through Thursday, 3:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Also available is the back to school distribution of backpacks and school supplies.
