Go to Bat For Kids Event: Make Their Fields of Dreams Come True

There’s something about spring-time in St. Louis and the return of our favorite pastime, Cardinals baseball! It’s the crack of the bat, the roar of the crowd, the smell of hotdogs in the air and the St. Louis skyline in the background that help make a memorable experience for all those in attendance.

Many children in our community have not had the opportunity to experience the magic of this St. Louis institution, but with your support that can change. Catholic Charities of St. Louis is proud to once again be organizing this year’s Go to Bat for Kids campaign.

When the Cardinals take the field May 19, 2017 against the San Francisco Giants, nearly 2,000 children in need from our community will be in the crowd thanks to the generosity of ticket sponsors like you.  One lucky young fan will also have the honor of throwing out a ceremonial first pitch before the game.  What a thrill!

Sponsored tickets will be distributed to Catholic Charities agencies, including St. Francis Community Services, Marygrove and Good Shepherd Children & Family Services. St. Louis area organizations such as Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Missouri, Boys & Girls Town of Missouri, and Epworth Children & Family Services also receive tickets for children in their programs.

The Go to Bat for Kids campaign is in its sixteenth  year of providing memories for more than 30,000 children.  That’s nearly enough children to fill Busch Stadium!  But we could not do it without YOU.  Sponsoring a child for a ticket, hot dog and soda is only $26. You can make a donation online at ccstl.org, select Go to Bat for Kids in the ‘fund menu’ of the donation page or send a check to Catholic Charities of St. Louis P.O. Box 952393 St. Louis MO, 63195-2393.  Make sure to note Go -to Bat in the memo.  Thank you for your support and Let’s GoCardinals!
