Meet our January Everyday Amazing Employees

Each month, two Catholic Charities of St. Louis Federation employees nominated by their peers are recognized for exemplifying Personal Excellence, a Spirit of Servant Leadership, and the Catholic Charities Mission. The honorees for January 2019 are…

St. Patrick Center Program Support Services Coordinator James Montgomery

James is best known as the friendly man greeting visitors at St. Patrick Center’s donation center.  He also helps guide hundreds of volunteers each year, and collaborates with other agencies in the federation to move excess donations so that nothing goes to waste. He has streamlined processes for the team and donors, as well. He also manages the food pantry, clothing room, and move-in kit room.

“James could simply make sure the areas are stocked,” said the nominator. “Instead he goes above and beyond, tracking down items for a client’s specific need. He always keeps clients front and center.”

Catholic Charities Assistant Director of Quality Improvement Padraic McGrath

Padraic was nominated for his passion for the mission to serve, such as his willingness to stop what he’s doing to help others with IT issues, as well as his strong stewardship of the IT resources available.

Padraic displays radical hospitality and fosters human dignity by interacting with all – colleagues, guests, and those seeking our aid – with a servant heart.

Also noted was how Padraic inspires other by joyfully practicing his faith. He is a friendly face at the central office weekly masses, and although a busy husband and father, he is in formation to enter the Secular Franciscan Order, a community of Catholic men and women who seek to pattern their lives after Jesus in the spirit of Francis of Assisi.

Congrats to all who were nominated! We’ll publish a complete list of nominees at the end of each quarter.
