MEET OUR MAY EVERYDAY AMAZING EMPLOYEES

Each month, two Catholic Charities of St. Louis Federation employees nominated by their peers are recognized for exemplifying Personal Excellence, a Spirit of Servant Leadership, and the Catholic Charities Mission. The honorees for May 2019 are…

St. Patrick Center Case Manager Jennifer Ingersoll

Since her first day on the job more than three years ago, Jennifer has exuded passion for St. Patrick Center and for the cause of ending homelessness. In addition to serving with excellence as case manager for the Veterans program, Jennifer volunteers at all three of St. Patrick Center’s signature fundraisers, often taking leadership roles. Jennifer also serves on the agency’s Staff Day Away planning committee. A nominator said, “We’ve had many great Staff Days Away, but thanks in part to Jennifer’s involvement, the past two have been the best yet. She is an advocate for clients and a morale booster for staff.”

Catholic Charities of St. Louis Receptionist Sally Kellogg

When Sally joined the Central Office team, she immediately set to work making the entryway more inviting. Sally brings added warmth in the way she greets visitors and attends to small details to make their visits pleasurable. Most recently, she took it upon herself to pull weeds and plant flowers in some neglected areas outside the building.

Sally’s hospitality extends to people in need who call or walk in seeking help. She treats each with great dignity, spending however long it takes to research options and connect them with resources. Never one to sit still, Sally continually seeks ways to assist her colleagues. A nominator also noted Sally’s deep faith life and kind acts. “Sally has offered to bring soup when I was sick and help me when I moved. She is the kind of person who remembers details you share and asks how things are going.”
